Building a set for my book series of graphic stories to teach model making and telling stories, on a budget.
The idea of my books is to show how to make stuff with very limited resources and with common objects. This story is dealing with an unexploded device and how a silly robot mucks it up.
The bomb was a soft drink bottle with kit parts. We only see the back end of it, the rest is buried. The main set was dirt and mulch piled up on the table with model railroad dressing.
The hero arrives in a truck to much fanfare. He is seated in the back of his truck and descends on his special chair.
The truck was an old toy and the chair made from building blocks and kit parts with electronic components for more dressings. The blast shield was plastic and kit parts.
